If you remember the good old days of video podcasts, you'd recognize the dynamic duo of DL.TV, Patrick Norton and Robert Heron. Norton left for Revision 3 and System and Tekzilla goodness, while Robert steered the ship with Roger Chang and Scott Asnault until DL.TV went on hiatus and eventually morphed into DL.TV Bytes earlier this spring. Good stuff, but I always hoped the two would eventually do a show once again.
Enter HD Nation on Revision 3. In a nutshell, two guys, and a basic set talking about Hi-Def goodness. The show plays of course to Heron's strength which is all things displays and Norton's ability to anchor and pace a show. But both together have a good chemistry and generally act much more natural and as if the whole thing was created right on the spot.
Face it, if the thing was called 'Toaster Nation' it'd still be interesting and fun to watch.
Now I must admit that Revision 3 stuff runs hot and cold with me, and that live streaming stuff is all over the place these days. But this show is what video podcasts do at their best solid material on a niche subject. And you'll get no better, than with HD Nation.
Welcome back guys, you were sorely missed.
