" Welcome to DL.TV Bytes, tasty morsels of DL.TV goodness that you can now consume twice a week! Every Tuesday and Thursday, join us for answers to your top Tech questions, hot product reviews, the coolest places to check out on the web, and more!"
The net video program was forced to stop production due to cuts in personnel that
made it hard to produce a show of that type.
This week DL.TV has relaunched with Heron and a new look that does away with the traditional desk and co-anchors and has gone to short segments with the various people doing reviews and answering questions. 'DL.TV Bytes' as it's called will go back to the 2 episode per week format it used to do and according to Heron, will vary in length. The show is using the video service Mevio, but also includes versions for iPod/PSP and plain Mp3. As of this writing, I had not seen the new episodes up on iTunes yet, but that will probably come.
I like DL.TV getting back in the game and think they have a wealth of knowledge and resources that can help people out. This format may be easier for them to manage, all the while providing quality content. As I had said back in February, the 2 anchor formula works best when there is some real chemistry between the the 2, and they had struggled to find that mix after the loss of Patrick Norton to Revision3.
That said, welcome back and look forward to more DL.TV Bytes!
